Overview:
This is a graveyard- weekend position and typically works Friday - Monday from 11:00 pm - 7:00 am with some flexibility on hours.
There will be an initial training period on day or swing shift
Prepare and analyze a variety of samples by multiple analytical techniques, including ICP-OES and ICP-MS.
Put samples into solution using routine dissolution techniques
Performs routine preventive maintenance activities on instruments
Perform various wet and gravimetric chemical analyses, and practice continuous improvement on existing and new processes.
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Laboratory Analyst to join our team. As a Laboratory Analyst, you will play a crucial role in conducting various laboratory tests and analyses to support research and development efforts. Your expertise in microbiology, molecular biology, and quality control will contribute to the success of our laboratory operations. This is a full-time position in an industrial laboratory setting.
Duties:
- Perform laboratory tests and analyses according to established protocols and procedures
- Conduct microbiological testing, including sample preparation, culture growth, and identification
- Utilize molecular biology techniques for DNA extraction, PCR, and sequencing
- Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, CGMP, GLP, and other relevant industry standards
- Maintain accurate records of all laboratory activities and results in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support research projects and product development
- Participate in quality control activities to ensure accuracy and precision of test results
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance as needed
- Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and new technologies in laboratory analysis
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Biology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology)
- Strong knowledge of microbiology principles and techniques
- Familiarity with FDA regulations and veterinary terminology is preferred
- Experience working in an industrial laboratory environment is highly desirable
- Proficiency in conducting research development activities
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and methodologies
- Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
